▲表示决定做某事，decide on 后接动名词，与 decide 后接不定式意思大致相同，但 decide to do sth 比 decide on doing sth 更普通。如：

We decided on leaving. / We decided to leave. 我们决定离开。

▲decide 用作及物动词时，可直接跟名词或代词作宾语，此时 decide sth 与 decide on sth 的用法如下（摘自《薄冰英语惯用法词典》第200页）
