三个语法问题（涉及increase, than, make等的用法）

老师：您好！以下问题烦请指导。

(1) We believe we must increase our export sales if we want to continue to grow, and we hope to increase exports to 15 – 20 percent of production, with your help.

A: We hope to increase our export sales by 20% with your help.

B. We must increase our export, hoping to reach 15% to 20% of production.

老师：答案是B， 我选择了A，为何A不正确呀？

(2) We were sorry we were late for the meeting yesterday. If we had not had a flat tyre, we would have arrived on time at 2:30 instead of at 3:30.

We came an hour later than we should.

老师，这句话中的than 在这里怎么翻译呀？这句话我没看懂。

(3) Eeverything i made belonged to me.

老师，请问这里为何用 belonged，而不是 make to do 的结构呢？

解答：A 和 B 的区别本质上是 increase to 与 increase by 的区别：前者到增长到多少，后者表示增长了多少。A的意思是：我们希望在你的帮助下将出口销售增长20%；B的意思是：我们必须增加出口，并希望达到15—20%的产量。显然符合原意的是 A，而不是B。

(2) We were sorry we were late for the meeting yesterday. If we had not had a flat tyre, we would have arrived on time at 2:30 instead of at 3:30. We came an hour later than we should.

老师，这句话中的than 在这里怎么翻译呀？这句话我没看懂。
