在一本书上看到，表示“禁止某人做某事”，英语可用 prevent (stop, keep, prohibit) sb from doing sth。
Nothing could prevent him from doing that. 什么也阻止不了他做那件事。
He also stopped them from doing foolish things. 他还阻止他们做傻事。
The rain kept us from going out. 下雨使我们没法出去。
His poor eyesight prohibited him from becoming a pilot. 他因视力不好而不能当飞行员。
