take turns后接不定式还是现在分词

牛津高中英语模三p9有这样一句话：

The other group members could take turns narrating and holding the pictures. 另外一组的成员可以轮流叙述和举画。

句中的take turns后面接的是现在分词，但我的笔记上有take turns后接不定式的用法（没有当时没抄例句）。

请问take turns到底是接不定式还是现在分词？若两者都可接，它们有区别吗？

1. 译林版《牛津初中英语》八年级下》（译林出版社 2007年11月第2次印刷）P103：

Take turns to give suggestions.

2.《朗文当代高级英语辞典》(英英•英汉双解)(外语教学与研究出版社2004年7月第1版)P 2163:

take turns doing sth: We took turns doing the driving on the way up to Canada .

take turns to do sth: brainstorming sessions where we all took turns to throw in ideas.

3.《牛津高阶英汉双解词典》(第六版)(商务印书馆 2004年 8月第2版)P 1903:

take turns (in sth/ to do sth.) (BrE also take it in turns): The male and female birds take turns in sitting on the eggs.

We all take it in turns to do the housework.

take turns 后面可以接动词的ing形式和“at + 动词的ing形式”,表示“轮流做某事”的意思。例如：

He and his wife take turns washing the dishes. 他和他的妻子依次洗刷盘子。（《英汉双解当代美国英语学习词典》第1638页）

She and Mark took turns at feeding it . 她和马克轮流给它喂食。（《张道真高级英语词典》第1607页）

我查阅了十多部英美和我国编写的英英词典、英汉词典和英语语法、用法专著，还没有发现take turns 后面接动词不定式的例句。
