▲It is important for you to remember this.
此句中形容词 important 后接了for sb to do sth,能用于此类句型的形容词很多。如:
It’s wrong for you to say that.
It is possible for her to sell her house.
It’s necessary for us to buy a computer.
It’s normal for us not to want to work on Sunday.
He was anxious for his brother to meet you.
I’m anxious for the party to be a success.
She’s anxious for her daughter to win the competition.
P646: Tom was eager for you to come to the party.
The poor father is perfectly willing for his little daughter to be brought up in England by her exceedingly wealthy grandmother.P425:
Mrs Hill is keen for Tom to marry Stella.
Her father is keen for her to go to university.
4. COCA (The CORPUS OF CONTEMPORAY AMERICAN ENGLISH (1990-2012) (Mark Davies, Brigham Young University):
(1) Before the trip; a plan and a programme was made considering the teacher candidates who will attend the trip, and topics were determined for the candidates to collect the information about the places to visit.
(2) She was worried about what would happen after secondary school as her parents seem determined for her to marry at that stage.
(3) There are the gung-ho sports addicts and avaricious promoters who are determined to shove this problem down the throats of our general population, and there are those who are just as adamantly opposed and determined for them not to do so.
(1) One of the reasons it took a while to get to know my new neighbors was at first Mama Floyd was hesitant for me to get involved.
(2) He's been under a lot of stress, so we're ready for him to go back to Texas and be warmly received.
(3) In a time too short for words her face tries to communicate something, that she is sorry for something, that she is reluctant for me to understand.
