▲say to do sth 可理解为一种特殊的间接引语，即当直接引语为祈使句时，我们可以用 ask/ tell sb to do sth，在非正式文体或非正式场合也可以简单地用 say to do sth。如：

直接引语：“Stay in bed for a few days,” the doctor said to me. “卧床休息几天，”医生说。

间接引语一：The doctor told me to stay in bed for a few days. 医生叫我卧床休息几天。（通常用法）

间接引语二：The doctor said to stay in bed for a few days. 医生说要卧床休息几天。（非正式文体）

The guidebook says to turn left. 旅游指南上说向左转。

The recipe says to add the flour last. 食谱上说最后加面粉。
