through作介词用来暗指从某物的一个位置到另外一个位置,通常是某物的两端,意为“从…一端至另一端;穿过,贯穿”;through作副词意为”从一端到另一端;通过“等。
“through” 主要有以下几种用法:
一、介词用法
表示 “穿过;通过”(从物体内部或空间穿过)
The train went through the tunnel.(火车穿过了隧道。)
They walked through the forest.(他们穿过了森林。)
表示 “从(开始)到(结束);自始至终”,常与表示时间段的名词连用
We worked through the night.(我们通宵工作。)
She stayed in London through the summer.(整个夏天她都呆在伦敦。)

三、形容词用法(主要用于短语)
“through - and - through”,意为 “完全的;彻底的;十足的”,常用来修饰名词
