　　One day on his way home, Mr. Smith saw a thief carrying a TV set and a recorder running along the street hurriedly. He didnt stop the thief. Instead, he pulled down his hat and pretended not to have seen him.

　　A few minutes later, a policeman stopped him and asked if he had seen a man with a TV set and a recorder pass by. Mt. Smith answered that he hadn t. The policeman, however, soon caught the thief. When Mr. Smith got home, he was surprised to see that it was his own things that had been stolen.

　　Mr Smiths desk sits in the corner by the windows,and the secretarys desk in next to his.Against the wall straight ahead of you is a long bookcase full of books.Beside it there is a cabinet of supplies,including paper,ink,pencils,and stencils.On your right and across the room from the desk there is a leather sofa,two large armchairs,and a coffee table with some magazines on it.The file cabinets are located between the hall door and the storage room door.Although there is not much space in Mr Smiths office,it is easy to work in.
