sand与grit（沙）的区别

sand 与 rit 表示“沙”，它们的区别是什么？

另外，要表示“一粒沙子”，英语怎么说？

通常意义上我们说的沙子对应的词应该是 sand，比如沙漠、沙滩中的沙子。grit常指颗粒更大一些的“砂砾”，比如铺路用的小石子。以上为个人理解，不一定对。一粒沙可以译成：a grain of sand，a piece of grit。

(1)sand 一般指海边河边的那种粉末状细沙，河沙，复数表示沙滩
