hesitate about doing和hesitate in doing的区别

我想问一下 hesitate about doing sth 与 hesitate in doing sth 的区别，网上虽然也有解释，但不是很清楚。谢谢老师！

hesitate 是不及物动词，后接about, in或at，表示“对（做）某事犹豫不决”。

hesitate 也可以跟to do，它与hesitate about doing 和hesitate in doing，虽然结构不同，但是意思一样。一般通用即可，不必仔细区分，过细的区别词语用法对学习无益，希望把精力用在更多的地方。例如：

他对于是否参加远征队犹豫不决。

He hesitates to join the expedition. 

He hesitates about joining the expedition. 

He hesitates in joining the expedition.
