because of后可接哪些从句

一般认为：because是连词，用于从句的开头；because of是介词，用于名词或代词前面。但有时because of 也可用于what从句前面。如：
He felt angry because of what you said about him at the meeting.
请问：除what 从句外，because of后还可哪些从句？

▲黎老师说得对，because of 主要后接what引导的宾语从句（即除 what 从句外，because of 后一般不能接其他从句）。如：

He knew she was crying because of what he had said. 他知道她哭是因为他说的话。

I’m pissed at him because of what he’s been saying about me. 我生他的气，因为他一直在说我。

I hope you won’t get into trouble because of what I said to your dad. 我希望你不会因为我对你爸爸说的那些话而惹麻烦。

▲because of 后之所以可以接what引导的宾语从句，是因为what引导的宾语从句实际上就是一个“名词或代词+定语从句”（即本质上就是一个名词或代词）。所以我就想，虽然在纸质词典和语法书上很少见到because of后接其他名词性从句的例子，但这并不意味它后面就不能接其他名词性从句，因为从理论上说所有名词性从句在本质上都跟“名词”相似，所以我查了一下BNC（英国国家语料）。比如我查了一下because of how，共查到11个例句，比如下面几个是比较典型的：

The answer is partly because of how Jesus behaved on the cross.

But don't under-estimate your requirements because of how much you think it will cost.

These two probabilities cannot be identified separately because of how they are specified.

But I'll give you one, only because of how much I respect your grandmother.

特别是上面最后一个句子很有意思：But I'm afraid of marriage because I'm afraid someone might want me because of who I am instead of because they loved me. 句子大意应该是：但是我害怕结婚，因为我担心有人可能会因为我的身份而不是因为他们爱我才跟我结婚。（这个句子说得很现实啊！）
