事实上，我记得许多词是可以带 as 做宾补的。
请问：那么有哪些单词可以呢？哪些不可以呢？依据是什么呢？

▲不知道你说的这本语法书叫什么书名。我觉得该书的说法有问题，按我的理解，这三句都是“正”句：
正：Tom was nominated as the dean.
正：Tom was nominated for the dean.
正：Tom was nominated the dean.
▲nominate 通常用于的句型就是 nominate sb as…（任命某人担任或成为……）。又如：
The board nominated her as the new director. 董事会指定她为新董事。
The mayor nominated him as police chief. 市长任命他为警察局长。
They nominated her as the British spokesperson at the International Arms Conference. 他们提名她为国际军备大会上代表英国的发言人。
