rain,snow的主语可以是the whether吗

我们常说“天在下雨（雪）”，若说成英语，可以说成 The weather is raining 吗？

用英语表示“天在下雨（雪）”，不能说成 The weather is raining.

正确的说法是用 it 作主语。如：

It rains a lot here. 这里常下雨。

It was raining all night.  整夜都在下雨。

Every / Each time I wash the car it rains. 每次我擦洗汽车，天总要下雨。

It’s going to snow tonight. 今天晚上要下雪。

It hardly ever snows here. 这儿几乎从不下雪。

Can you look out of the window and see if it’s still snowing? 你能不能朝窗外看看还下不下雪?

但是表示天气的冷暖可以用the weather作主语。如：

The weather is getting quite warm. 天气变得相当暖和。

The weather is getting colder and colder. 天气越来越冷了。

Take warm clothes in case the weather is cold. 带些暖和衣服，以防天气变冷。
