I discovered him kissing my wife. 我撞见他在吻我的妻子。

He was discovered hiding in a shed. 人们发现他原来藏在棚屋里。

He discovered her sitting near the fire, reading a book. 他发现她坐在炉火边看书。

▲“discover sb / sth + 不定式”中的discover表示通过了解而“发现”。如：

We discovered her to be a good cook. 我们发现她菜做得很好。

He was later discovered to have been a spy.  后来发现他原来是间谍。

Following a routine checkup, Mrs Masonwas discovered to have heart disease.  例行体检发现梅森夫人患有心脏病。
