There are three alternatives in dealing with the problems of development and reunification. The first, resolving reunification problem before development, the second, after development and the third, during development.

1. 指“有两个或两个以上的选择”；2. 指“两个或两个以上的任何一个选择”；3. 指“一个以外的另一个选择”。

We have the alternative of coffee, tea, or water.

The alternatives are coffee and tea.

The alternative is tea.

所以说，原句是对的。
