There is a week left与There

问题描述

表示时间还有多少，有两个句式，一个用不定式，一个用过去分词。比如：
There is a week left. / There is a week to go.
There is a month left. / There is a month to go.
There are only three days left. / There are only three days to go.
为什么一个要用不定式，而一个要用过去分词呢？这是规定的吗？这是习惯用法吗？谢谢！

left是过去分词形容词，作后置定语；to go是动词不定式作后置定语。虽然都是定语，但句子意思有差异：

1. There is a week left. 意思是：假设做某事需要3周的时间，已经过去两个周了，还剩余一个周。这里left的意思等于remaining.

2. There is a week to go. 意思是：做某事或某事发生，距离现在还有一周的时间，不定式to go表示未来之意。例如：

There is a week to go before the vacation begins.  现在距离假期尚有一个星期。
