分词与不定式在句子中用法区别

问题描述

The children came running to meet their parents.  

running to meet their parents这个是分词作伴随状语吗？

把句子改成：The children came to run to meet their parents.

又或者：The children came to run meeting their parents.

这两个句子可以吗？语法错误吗，逻辑合理吗？

The children came running to meet their parents.

这个句子中的running和to meet their parents都是状语。现在分词是方式状语，不定式是目的状语。现在分词在句子中做成分，分词的动词必须和谓语动作有时间上的同时性，即run和come有同时性。不定式的动作是谓语动词动作之后的事件，还没有发生。

假如你改为came to run。那是什么逻辑？来的目的是为了跑？所以不可以用to run。

came meeting their parents意味着came的同时和父母见面，也不合逻辑。同样是错的。

学习非谓语动词一定要理解非谓语动词相对于谓语动词的时间关系。
