这个句子中的running和to meet their parents都是状语。现在分词是方式状语,不定式是目的状语。现在分词在句子中做成分,分词的动词必须和谓语动作有时间上的同时性,即run和come有同时性。不定式的动作是谓语动词动作之后的事件,还没有发生。
假如你改为came to run。那是什么逻辑?来的目的是为了跑?所以不可以用to run。
came meeting their parents意味着came的同时和父母见面,也不合逻辑。同样是错的。
学习非谓语动词一定要理解非谓语动词相对于谓语动词的时间关系。
