entertainment 有时是可数的，有时是不可数的。请问：如何区分entertainment是可数还是还是不可数？请举例说明，谢谢！

▲若指笼统的或抽象的“娱乐”，entertainment 是不可数名词。如：

Television provides universal entertainment. 电视提供的是大众的娱乐。

A movie theater is a place of entertainment. 电影院是公众娱乐场所。

This law applies to all places of public entertainment. 这一法律适用于一切公共娱乐。

The programme blurs the line between news and entertainment. 这个节目模糊了新闻和娱乐之间的界限。

Although I have little time for entertainment, I do go to the theatre once in a while. 虽然我很少有时间娱乐，但我还是间或去看戏。

▲若指具体的“娱乐”形式（比如表演、活动、节目等），entertainment 则是可数名词。如：

The local entertainments are listed in the newspaper. 报纸上登有本地的娱乐活动。

There were feasts and banquets, theatrical entertainments and sporting competitions between local groups. 有酒席宴会、戏剧演出和地方队之间的体育竞赛。

▲另外，它表示“招待，款待”时，总是不可数的。如：
