形容词后缀-able, -ible, ble举例

问题描述

-able, -ible, ble 都可用作形容词后缀（构成形容词）。如：

washable 可洗的

unbreakable 不会破的，不碎的

loveable 可爱的

knowledgeable 博学的

comfortable 舒适的

compatible 兼容的；能和睦相处的，合得来的

credible 可信的，可靠的

edible可以吃的，可食用的

flexible 易弯曲的，柔韧的；灵活的，可变通的

incredible 不能相信的，不可信的；难以置信的，不可思议的，惊人的

invisible 看不见的，无形的

但是 -ble 结尾的形容词好像很少，能举例说明一下吗？

你说的应该是指非-able, ible 之类的 -ble，对吗？想到以下三个，供参考：

■soluble 可溶的，可溶解的；可解决的

soluble aspirin 可溶性阿司匹林 　

It is a highly soluble gas. 这是一种高溶解性气体。

Glucose is soluble in water. 葡萄糖可溶于水。

Uranium is soluble in sea water. 铀可溶解于海水。

The disulphate was easily soluble in water. 焦硫酸盐易溶于水。

The red dye on the leather is water-soluble. 皮革上的这种红色染料可溶于水。

■insoluble 无法解决的；不能解释的；不能溶解的；不溶的

insoluble conflicts within the department 部门内难以调和的冲突

These chemicals are practically insoluble in water. 这些化学物质几乎不溶于水。
