charge sb of (with) sth 中的介词用法疑问

charge 作为控告讲时，是 charge sb of sth 还是 charge sb with sth，还是两者都存在？老师在讲课时，一会说 with 一会说 of 都晕了。charge sb of sth 与 charge sb with sth 都存在么？

表示“指控”的两个常用表达，注意两者所用动词不同，所搭配的介词也不同：

They charged him with theft. 他们控告他偷窃。

He charged me with neglecting my duty. 他指责我疏忽职守。

He was charged with an offensive weapon. 他被指控携带攻击性武器。

They were charged with unlawful possessionof firearms. 他们被指控非法藏有枪支。

He was charged with careless driving andfailing to report an accident. 他被指控不小心驾车并且未对事故报案。

▲顺便说一句，accuse还可表示“指责”，也是与with搭配：
