ignore与be ignorant of

ignore是高中必修一第一单元的重要词汇。然而许多同学对其用法存在一些问题。实际上很简单：作为动词的ignore 多指的是【主观意志行为】，即主语主观上对某人某物“不理不睬/无视忽视；而其形容词用法（be ignorant of / about）及名词用法(be in ignorance of)则多指的是【客观认知状态】，即主语对某人某事不了解/不知道/愚昧无知。二者有本质区别。
Many people ignore the truth, the basic function of clothes is keep warm and comfortable. 许多人似乎忽视了这个基本事实：衣服的基本功能是保持我们舒适和温暖。
If you ignore your diet, trouble will follow. 如果你忽视自己的饮食，必然会遇到麻烦。
I am completely ignorant of his intentions. 我对他的企图全然不知。
He is ignorant of English=He is in the ignorance of English. 他不懂英语。
He was ignorant of thefact. 他不了解事实。

▲ignore 是及物动词，意思是“无视；不顾”。例如：

▲be ignorant of 表示“不知道”、“不懂”，例如：

▲ignorant一般有两种含义：
1. not knowing something that you should know or need to know. 形容词，意思是“无知的，愚昧的；无学识的”。固定搭配 ignorant of sth。例如：
I was ignorant of the terms used in business. 我对商业术语一无所知。
2. not knowing the right way to behave or treat people. 不懂礼貌的
He is so ignorant！他这样不懂礼貌！
▲ignore，动词，意为“忽视；忽略；不顾”。英文释义 to not consider something or not let it influence you. 例如：
We had ignored the fact that it was getting darker. 我们忽略了天越来越黑这一情况。
